It is currently 90 degrees outside and I have a massive headache. I have been up since 4 a.m. for physical training and now we are getting our gear on which consists of the 35lb rucksack, M16 rifle, uniform, combat boots, ACH helmet, and IOTV (improved outer tactical vest.) We are now on the road, marching five miles to our destination (the range.) Sweat it dripping down my forehead and my combat boots get heavier with every step I take. 1.5 miles into the march we take a small break to drink water, utilize the latrine/bathroom and pull security.
